AKRONAttacker sentencedAKRON: A 19-year-old Akron man has been sentenced to four years in prison after a jury convicted him of felonious assault for attacking a man in March at the Late Nite Cabaret on East Tallmadge Avenue, authorities said.Yorel J. Woolridge, of North Hawkins Avenue, was sentenced Wednesday by Summit County Common Pleas Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer.Prosecutors said Woolridge attacked a club patron March 6 about 12:45 a.m., hitting the man in the face with a glass object that badly cut his right cheek.Dollar store robbedAKRON: Workers at a discount store were robbed Wednesday night at gunpoint, police said.The robbery happened about 9:15 p.m. inside Family Dollar, 1750 S. Main St. According to police, two men, one armed with a gun, confronted two cashiers and demanded money.The men left with about $500, according to the report. This saddens me to a point where I felt that I must do something that could possibly make a difference for the future of Nordonia Schools.”Blankenship’s resignation is effective Monday.
